Yurii Radko (born August 22, 1990) is a film composer, sound designer and multi-instrumentalist from Ukraine, who has made a career that is defined by his deep emotional expression and innovative approach to music. He was born in Chortkiv, Ukraine. Y. Radko received Bachelor's and Master's degrees with honors in the specialty "Musical Art" of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. In 2019, he graduated from Lviv National Academy of Music and achieved PhD in Musical Arts.
Film and Media Composition
Yurii Radko has scored a wide range of visual media, including independent films, documentaries and animated works. His compositions resonate with audiences, characterized by intricate orchestration and a seamless fusion of traditional and modern elements. Notable works include the score for Roadkill, lauded for its haunting ambiance that amplifies the narrative’s emotional depth and Home, which explores environmental themes and received international awards. His work for the short film Echoes earned him the Best Composer for Short Film award at the 2024 Bridge Fest in Vancouver (Canada).
